Prevention
COHF uses value-based trainings targeting trafficking hotspots as a principal tool to prevent a possible trafficking occurrence.
Rescue, Protection and Prosecution
We regularly collaborate with the law enforcement officials to conduct joint rescue operations. COHF also works with the identified shelter homes to provide a safe and healing environment for the rescued victims while offering psychosocial support and therapeutic programs to aid the healing process. To ensure that victims find justice, we cooperate with relevant agencies for investigations and prosecution of the perpetrators.
Rehabilitation and Re-integration
In order to prevent re-exploitation of rescued victims, COHF offers life-skills & vocational training to assist the victims to gain dignified livelihood so as to breaks the cycles of poverty and social exclusion.
ADVOCACY / REGIONAL CIVIL SOCIETY FORUM
In collaboration with other regional counter trafficking actors and Religious Association on Human Trafficking (RAHT), COHF is taking a proactive role to relentlessly lobby for victim-friendly policies, as well as awareness regarding human trafficking, through political, legal, and media advocacy. The efforts aid in revealing the reality and magnitude of the crimes along with a demographic profile of vulnerable communities as well as to express the need for a high level inter-state coordination and multi-sectoral approach to address the issue. Additionally, we always conduct sensitization workshops for the media, public transport actors, law enforcers, judges, prosecutors and Child Welfare Committee members to equip them with the requisite understanding and skills to effectively handle cases of human trafficking.
